Pérouges (01) is a medieval hilltop village near our Ain Domaine de Mépillat campsite. It overlooks the Rhône plain. As you stroll through its narrow streets, you’ll come across a fortified church, a parish priest’s garden, a square tower, double ramparts, typical cobbled streets and uneven cobblestones… You’re in another world, another time…

The houses, alleyways and shops have remained unchanged for centuries. You can discover the history of this village by visiting its museum, or simply by taking one of the many guided tours on offer.
